Räuber-Kneißl-Tour - Best Spots
Hidden Gem: Summer, light & perspectives in the Dachau Hinterland – no matter which camera you use
Workshop
limited to only 3 to max. 4 participants
This is not your average workshop – every year, I put together a new selection of beautiful spots: real hidden gems in the Dachauer Hinterland.
Let yourself be surprised and rediscover the countryside with a fresh eye – bold, free, and far from the ordinary.
No matter what kind of camera you bring – whether it’s a smartphone, compact, bridge, mirrorless or DSLR:
What really counts here is the joy of summer, being outdoors, and seeing the world from fresh perspectives
Instead of crowds, an atmospheric backdrop awaits you in the Dachau Hinterland – a place where artists‘ colonies once operated and along which a popular cycle path now runs, named after Bavaria’s most likeable robber who grew up in this area.
Perfection is not required – but the joy of trying things out! With practical tips, you’ll easily find your way from just ‘snapping’ to atmospheric snapshots – regardless of whether you share them later on social media or immortalise them in your holiday photo book.
I will provide more details about the meeting point etc. after binding registration. This can be reached by car, bike or public transport.
And if you like, you can spontaneously stay after the workshop for free shots in the sunset – flexibly and at your own pace.
Suitable for beginners and advanced
and certainly for social media users, travel enthusiasts or simply for summer and nature lovers…
Basic knowledge of how to use your camera is desirable

Haiku or Zen, some might say – Moments of Pause, say others...
Photography as the meditative art of omission – with any camera
One-day and weekend workshops at Lake Ammersee in Bavaria
Limited to 3 to a maximum of 4 participants
The Japanese concepts of Haiku and Zen reflect a shared aesthetic and philosophical approach.
Though expressed through different forms, they are deeply connected – both emphasizing simplicity, reduction to the essential, and the avoidance of the unnecessary
They arise from a contemplative way of seeing the world – inviting us to be fully present, to appreciate simplicity, and to recognize the beauty of imperfection.
Together, they open a space – for what is, and for what lies between things.
Things are meant to be experienced – not just explained.
And this is precisely where photography begins – as a meditative practice.
With our camera – any camera – we immerse ourselves in the natural surroundings of the lake.
Gradually, we begin to notice – even the subtle and quiet things.
We experience them, capture them – for a fleeting moment.
An art form.
An art of omission.
An invitation to see – with awareness and presence.
We sense what touches us – and express these emotions.
Visually. With simplicity.
Those who wish to may also explore movement –
through techniques like ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) –
intuitive and experimental.
This workshop is for those who are looking for more than just beautiful images.
For those who want to feel with their camera, not just focus.
Who are open to exploring and to try a different approach to photography – embracing imperfection as part of the whole.
The number of participants is deliberately kept small. If you’d like, you’re welcome to stay after the workshop, e.g. for some spontaneous sunset shots – flexible and completely at your own pace.
If this speaks to you, I’d be delighted to welcome you to the workshop at Lake Ammersee.
Suitable for beginners and advanced participants
Basic knowledge of your camera is recommended
175 EUR per person and workshop day
340 EUR per person for the weekend
Dates:
Sat, October 17, 2026 – 1 to 6 PM
Sun, October 18, 2026 – 1 to 6 PM

Join us and dive into the art of omission at the beautiful lake…
Interested but none of the dates suit you? No problem, just send me a quick, non-binding message…
