About art and me

The fewer categorizing words you say about it, the more opportunity it has to emerge: art.
Not a science – rather a feeling – unbiased – open – intuition – freedom.

Capturing the fascinating is a passion. Nature, with all its wonderful forms and colors that are often not visible at first glance, is my most important source of inspiration. But I am also fascinated by architectural forms and people in everyday life, which often find expression in my “moving” or dynamic art. For me, creating art means acting experimentally, being “in the flow” with all my senses, feeling the rhythm, getting involved in capturing a moment, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Nevertheless, it can be beautiful or simply extremely interesting.

My main approach is to capture emotions. I achieve this in photography through the targeted use of blurring or special camera movement techniques. Digital post-processing can give the artwork additional expression or sometimes even represent its own form of artistic design. However, the perceived mood should be retained without making the artwork appear obtrusive.

Valuable experience that I have gained in the field of painting is reflected in my photographic art and vice versa. I see my camera less as a piece of technical equipment to achieve perfect shots according to the latest, ever more precisely developing technology. Rather, I see it as a medium to create art, indeed, essentially to “paint” with it. So for me it is ultimately nothing more than a kind of brush that – following the impulse of empathy and artistic perception – immersed in the colors and shapes of the surrounding motif, creates a perceived interpretation of reality. Another medium of painting.

And I would like to share this with everyone my art appeals to – with all the associated emotions, colors and shapes. Less is often more.

So for me it is ultimately nothing more than a kind of brush that – following the impulse of empathy and artistic perception – immersed in the colors and shapes of the surrounding motif, creates a perceived interpretation of reality. Another medium of painting.

Specially designed sculptures, which in turn enable the simultaneous representation of an infinite number of 2-dimensional perspectives, sometimes serve as an abstract motif for my photography, which in a way closes the circle of my artistic work. Similar to the sequences and cycles in nature, which form an essential basis.

And I would like to share this with everyone my art appeals to – with all the associated emotions, colors and shapes. Less is often more.
